At Southern Co-op Funeralcare, our funeral homes and dedicated funeral directors are here to support families with compassion and care. Over recent months, our teams across the South have been working hard to provide meaningful support in local communities, from charitable donations to awareness events and learning opportunities.
Supporting Local Charities
Thanks to our funeral directors and management, your local funeral homes have been able to give back to local charities chosen by the communities we serve. Recent donations include:
- £1,000 to A Child of Mine, supporting families dealing with the loss of a child, no matter the age.
- £1000 to Macmillan Cancer Support, in partnership with national coffee mornings held across the south coast.
These donations show how our funeral homes are more than places of care; they are also hubs of support for local causes.
Our funeral directors have been taking part in local events and awareness activities, offering families the chance to speak with trusted professionals about funeral planning and the options available. Highlights include:
- Supporting Bereaved Parents Awareness Month, where branches provided spaces for reflection and remembrance.
- Attending local community fayres and gatherings, giving people the opportunity to talk with our funeral directors about arranging a funeral, memorial options, and the services offered at their local funeral home.
Our friendly teams love to break the stigma surrounding end-of-life services and funeral care and provide you with a warm, inviting, and familiar face.
Looking Ahead
Our priority remains the same: to offer families a compassionate service through their local funeral home, while also giving back to the communities around us. Whether you need help arranging a funeral, pre-planning for the future, or simply want to learn more about the options available, our funeral directors are here to help.
